Bespoke 8 Yard Kilt with Flashes by Manley Richardson
The most superbly crafted traditional 8 yard kilt made today. Manley Richardson tailors exquisitely made to measure garments, with incomparable attention to detail. From the finely embroidered monogram lining, to the founder's initials embossed on each premium grade leather strap, plus a range of finishes from which to select. A kilt is a lifetime's investment, so treat yourself to the best!
Every Manley Richardson kilt is expertly hand-stitched by the finest kiltmakers. Your kilt will be made from around 8 yards of fabric from only the finest Scottish mills, though actual length will vary by your personal fitting and your selected tartan pattern (on which the tailor will base the pleating arrangement).
Two leather straps on the waist, and one on the hip, are each made from premium leather in a choice of colours to suit the material, subtly embossed with the Manley Richardson monogram. Select from two uniquely designed high-grade buckles, for a more traditional or a more contemporary look; each is available in various finishes.
The front edge has two fringes, and two belt (or sporran strap) loops constructed from your chosen tartan are stoutly sewn to the rear.
Please note any special requests at the Checkout; we will discuss these with you before charging.

Scotweb’s MD, Dr Nicholas J Fiddes, has written a free illustrated e-book, as a gift to help kilt lovers everywhere. In simple non-technical language it covers every aspect of buying a kilt, choosing your tartan, and accessorising an outfit for every occasion.
As a Governor of the Scottish Tartans Authority, and founder of the world’s first company to market kilts on the Internet (yes, Scotweb) no one is better qualified to offer such advice. Impartial and objective, this is a personal work and is not a Scotweb publication.
I purchased this item in 2005 and it has become my kilt of choice. I've taken it on international trips and it travels well. It is versatile enough to wear with Jacobite regalia for fun, or with the Crail outfit for business. In this case, you get what you pay for!
